BetMGM is joining forces with Revolutionary Racing Kentucky to prepare for the debut of sports wagering in the Bluegrass State.
As Kentucky is poised to introduce sports betting shortly, BetMGM is gearing up to launch both digital and physical sports betting options. Their collaboration with Revolutionary Racing Kentucky will enable them to establish a retail sportsbook at Sandy’s Racing & Gaming as soon as legislation permits.
This new BetMGM sportsbook will encompass a sizable 5,200 square feet and is projected to commence operations sometime this autumn. Kentucky will formally inaugurate retail sports betting on September 7, 2023. Digital sports wagering will follow soon after, with an anticipated launch date of September 28.
Adam Greenblatt, Chief Executive Officer of BetMGM, conveyed his enthusiasm, remarking, “Kentucky possesses a rich tradition of equine racing and devoted enthusiasts. Revolutionary Racing Kentucky is the ideal collaborator to assist us in delivering our enjoyable and ethical sports betting encounter to the state, while simultaneously bolstering economic expansion through employment generation and tax income.”
This alliance extends beyond merely sports betting. Kentucky’s inaugural equestrian and racetrack complex will be constructed on 182 acres directly adjacent to Sandy’s Racing & Gaming. The initial races accessible to the public are slated to occur sometime in 2025.
The head honcho at Revolution Racing, Prentice Salter, is pumped about their collaboration with BetMGM. They’re constructing a first-rate venue in Ashland and are seeking out the finest collaborators for digital sports wagering. This agreement with BetMGM is a significant stride towards that objective. It’s noteworthy that BetMGM isn’t the sole major contender in the Kentucky arena. Caesars Sportsbook has already teamed up with Keeneland and Red Mile, so the competition is really intensifying within the state!
