A sports wagering platform, CopyBet, recently joined forces with Queens Park Rangers Football Club (QPR) in a new sponsorship agreement. The company’s branding will be prominently displayed on the rear of QPR’s primary team shirts commencing in the current 2022/23 season.
A prominent figure at CopyBet, Anton Ivanov, expressed their enthusiasm for the collaboration, highlighting their eagerness to work alongside a club possessing such a storied legacy within English football. CopyBet is extending a special offer to QPR supporters: a complimentary £5 wager, without requiring a deposit, applicable to any QPR match throughout the season. With an extensive selection of over 18,000 daily wagering opportunities, fans will have a plethora of options at their disposal.
QPR also appears quite content with the arrangement. They emphasized CopyBet’s distinctive approach, particularly their utilization of data analytics. They eagerly anticipate collaborating on innovative endeavors in the coming years.
This development coincides with an interesting period, as the Premier League contemplates amending regulations concerning gambling sponsorships on jerseys to safeguard young individuals.
Although the top tier of English football has promised the government they’ll gradually get rid of gambling ads on their jerseys, there’s a catch. They’re still open to letting betting firms advertise on shirt sleeves, essentially allowing Premier League clubs to keep raking in that lucrative sponsorship revenue.
Interestingly, the English Football League, responsible for the lower divisions of professional football in England, has remained silent on their stance regarding gambling sponsorships.
