A prominent online gaming platform, 12Bet, has secured a sponsorship agreement with West Bromwich Albion Football Club, broadening its reach within the sports realm. The deal will feature 12Bet’s emblem prominently on the team’s kit sleeves throughout the 2017/18 season.
This is not 12Bet’s initial venture into Premier League sponsorships. Founded in 2007, the privately owned company has previously collaborated with football powerhouses Arsenal and Leicester City. Although the financial specifics of the West Bromwich agreement are not public, it represents a calculated step for both entities.
Simon King, West Bromwich Albion’s Director of Commercial Operations, conveyed his excitement about the collaboration, emphasizing 12Bet’s solid standing and history within the Premier League. He stressed the inherent compatibility between the two groups, especially considering West Bromwich’s expanding connections with Asia, a crucial market for 12Bet.
West Bromwich Albion, a club with a rich history spanning 139 years, has been a fixture in English football’s top flight since 2009. Their devoted supporters and substantial media presence through the Premier League’s lucrative broadcasting agreements make them an appealing associate for companies seeking worldwide recognition.
Rory Anderson, a representative for 12Bet, shared King’s viewpoint, expressing pleasure in becoming the first wagering enterprise to secure both sleeve and training attire sponsorship privileges with a Premier League club. He pointed to West Bromwich’s steady performance in the fiercely competitive league as a deciding factor in their choice, framing the partnership as a logical alignment between two established names in the world of football.
